- Parecchio tempo fa un amico mi prestò una vhs contenente filmati di Vale Tudo, più precisamente, dei primi UFC degli anni '90.
- Ricordo che non la guardai subito, aspettai una domenica dove, non avendo da fare, mi misi sul divano e inserii la cassetta e "play" così com' era, a metà del nastro.
- Vidi questo ragazzo in kimono, smilzo, con la smorfia di concentrazione, paura e coraggio allo stesso tempo, ma molto sicuro di sé: Royce Gracie. Presentato dallo speaker "Roiiss Greisiii".
- L'avversario era il super-super massimo Dan Severn...il doppio di lui.
- Dopo aver visto quello che per tutti, oggi si può definire un classico, all'epoca io non ci dormii alla notte. Mi dissi: "debbo capire, imparare, conoscere questa persona e chi come lui...".

- A lot of time ago, a friend gave me a vhs of “vale tudo”.
- I remember that I didn’t watch it immediately; I waited a Sunday with freetime.
- I remember this slim guy with his face that was a mix of fair and bravery, but very self confident. That guy wearing the kimono, waiting for fighting with the wrestler super-super heavy weight Dan “the beast” Severn, the double of him. The name of that guy was Royce Gracie.
- For all of us, now this fight is a classic, but not then.
- I remember that I wasn’t able to sleep, I wanted to meet this guy and who like him…I decided to learn and to understand. My life is changed. I didn’t know, but, in the World, that was the start of the new martial arts revolution.
